Izaya X Reader Chapter 30

"Oh I'm so sorry! That was my fault, forgive me!" You look up and see a black haired boy blushing madly and bowing, apologizing multiple times. You recognize him as Mikado Ryūgamine, one of Masaomi's friends. You rub your back and grin at him.

"Oh hey you're Mikado aren't you? Don't worry it was my fault." You stand up slowly, Mikado grabbing your arm and helping you up. You make sure you didn't break anything in your bag, especially your phone. Mikado rubs his head and continues to apologize. You giggle and point to a nearby vending machine.

"Would you like to hang out and talk for a bit? I can grab us some drinks." Mikado shakes his head and smiles. You walk to the machine and buy two cans of soda, taking them to Mikado who's sitting on a bench.

"Thank you very much [name]. I'm sorry again I ran into you. I hope you're not hurt." You shake your head no and hand him his drink, taking the spot next to him. He opens the can and begins to take a long drink.

"Be careful. Some of these drinks have roofies in them." You take a drink of your soda and laugh when Mikado coughs on his drink.

"Wha-what?! They do?!" He coughs a few more times to clear his throat. You clutch your sides and laugh harder.

"I'm just kidding with you. What would you like to talk about?" He scratches his head in embarrassment, blushing brightly. You take another sip of your drink; Mikado gripping the soda can tightly.

"Well I just moved to Ikebukuro so I'm still unfamiliar with everything here. How long have you lived here?" You stare straight ahead and smile.

"I moved here when I was young with my parents from Osaka. They wanted to start a new life and they had some friends who lived here to help them out. I've lived in Ikebukuro long enough to love this place and all the people I've met here." You finish the soda and throw the empty can into a recycling bin.

"I moved to have a different life also, something more exciting and adventurous I guess. I lived in a small town and got bored of it. The only friend I really had there was Masaomi but he was living in Ikebukuro. He and I had been talking for a while about going to school together again so my parents let me move here. And even though I'm still pretty new here, I really like this place." You look away sadly at the mention of Masaomi but quickly put a smile on your face.

"That was nice of Masaomi. He gave you the rundown of the place, people to avoid, where to hang out right? He said the same thing to me when I first met him." Mikado nods and drinks the rest of his soda.

"Oh I have a couple of questions if you don't mind my asking. Let's see, first why did your parents want a new life and what has Masaomi been up to? I haven't heard from him in a few days."

You chuckle and look up at the sky. "Masaomi is angry at me right now so I don't know what he's been doing. As for my parents, that's a complicated story for another day."

Mikado doesn't press any further but continues asking his questions. "I was also wondering what do you know about the Dollars and Yellow Scarves?"
