Light X Reader- Chapter 4

You stare at the ground wondering what the lady was feeling before you bump into another person and fall on your butt from the impact, scattering your things yet again. "Oh for the love of Kira!" you say frustrated as you rub your sore behind.

"The love of who?" a male confused voice above you says. You look up and instantly blush. The second person you bump into is a young man, either in his last year of high school or beginning college. His light brown hair falls into his eyes and frames his face nicely but his eyes are the most stunning. They are light brown and have a soft but steely gaze to them that you can get lost in. He is dressed in a white coat and light grey slacks with white tennis shoes. "What did you say?" he repeats as he kneels down in front of you.

"Oh its nothing. Sorry I bumped into you," you say as you begin to gather your dropped items for the second time today. He starts helping you gather your stuff and place them into your bags before standing up. You do the same, finger combing your hair slightly and smile at him. "Thank you very much uh guy."

He chuckles and you can't help but think it has a nice sound to it. "My name is Light Yagami. Light is written with the character for moon and Yagami with the characters for night and god. Pretty silly isn't it?"

"No it's not silly at all. Its unusual yes but that's what makes it special. My name is [name] Masayoshi. Pleased to meet you. Sorry I ran into you again." You rub the back of your head and laugh, embarrassed at how dorky you sound now.

"The fault was mine. So [name] where are you headed to?" He places his hands in his pockets and tilts his head slightly to the right. You notice how extremely cute he looks right now and feel your cheeks warm a bit.

"I'm headed to the police station. My roommate is there and I wanted to give him a magazine." You see the book in one of your bags and tuck it under your arm again so it doesn't get bent in the bag.

Light looks confused for a moment but the expression quickly vanishes. "Your roommate works for the police?"

"Ya he does. You wouldn't expect him to be when you first meet him." You feel that you've heard the name Yagami before but can't place your finger on it. Suddenly it hits you. "Wait Yagami. By any chance are you related to Chief Soichiro Yagami?"
