~Izaya's POV

My eye twiches slightly as Mairu presses the stop button on the video camera, looking at me with hungry eyes. Kururi stains her green hoodie trying to stop the flow of blood from her nose. I head into the kitchen and pour myself a cup of tea, sipping it slowly. "I wouldn't expect young girls like you two to be such perverts."

"We saw an opportunity and took it! Imagine what would happen if we posted this on the internet or what if Shizuo saw it? You wouldn't want that would you?" Mairu sneers as I sigh tiredly.

"What exactly do you two want so this "secret" stays here and only here?" My sisters are always up to no good and they can demand the most ridiculous things.

"We want to see Yuhei." Kururi blushes as she examines the deep red blood spot on her sleeve.

"And you can't say that you can't do that! We know you can find his schedule and where he's shooting next." Mairu points a finger in my face and I swat it away harshly.

"Alright, alright. I'll find where his next movie is and book flights for you to meet him personally." I boot up my computer and find Yuhei's schedule easily. He's shooting his new movie in America but I'm not going to fulfill my sisters' requests. I smirk slightly as I book two first class tickets to [country] and type up a fake shooting schedule.

"You have two tickets first class to [country] to see Yuhei. Now it's your half of the bargain." Mairu ejects the tape and hands it to me, her glasses reflecting the light and shielding her eyes. I stare at the tape for a moment before folding my hands on my desk. "Also any copies you made I want too." She huffs loudly and pulls out three more tapes from her jacket pocket. She pulls her pockets out to show me that she doesn't have any more copies, Kururi following her example.

"Now can we go see Yuhei?" Mairu whines and I rub my temple wearily.

"Go pack your bags and be downstairs in five minutes or I'll cancel your flight." The twins race upstairs and five minutes later are downstairs with eager grins. I hand them both a copy of the fake schedule I typed up. "A taxi is already outside waiting to take you to the airport." Mairu and Kururi lean close to me and kiss my cheeks happily before bolting to the door.

"Bye Izaya! We'll call you when we meet Yuhei! And we won't blackmail you this time!" Mairu chirps as she drags Kururi out and slams the door. I spin in my chair a few times before I lift one of the tapes in the light and examine it.

"I might want to watch this later again. I can see more of my good side," I chuckle as I start searching for the latest news in Ikebukuro. "Those two may be smart but they are so gullible when it comes to Yuhei. Typical female emotions, how disappointing." I place a hand under my chin as I scroll through a few news pages. My eyes read a headline about the gang fights and I feel a smirk tug on my lips. "Well this is interesting. You've gotten too sloppy and it's going to cost you."

~Reader POV

You walk into Izaya's apartment and see him busy typing on the computer. You cough to alert him to your presence and walk up to the leather couch.

"[Name] I'm glad you're back! I hope Miss Sachiko wasn't too harsh on you today." He gives you a wide smile and continues typing on his computer. You let out a small chuckle and place your messenger bag on the couch, sighing deeply and rubbing your eyes.

"What's the matter? Rough day at work?" Izaya faces away from his computer and tilts his head at you, resting a hand under his chin.

"I ran into Masaomi today. It was the first time I've seen him since that day. He looked terrible and I'm worried that he's mixed up in something awful. I don't know what to do for him; he's my best friend and I want to help him." Izaya gets off his seat and stares out his large window, placing a hand on his waist.

"Have you heard about the gang fights going around Ikebukuro lately?" You stare at him confused before nodding your head slowly.

"Walker told me a little about them at work today. What does this have to do with Masaomi though?"

Izaya smirks and stretches his arms above his head, turning slightly to face you. "I guess you should know since it's so close to home. The Yellow Scarves and Dollars have been fighting quite violently it seems. The police can't keep up with all the outbreaks and it's been hard to even break up the fights in fear some innocent bystander will get hurt. It's funny that the police don't try to go after the leaders of the two gangs because they don't know who they are. If they found the leaders, most likely the fights would cease right?"

Izaya walks up to you and places both hands on his hips, leaning close towards you. "What the police aren't expecting is that the two leaders are nothing but a pair of high schoolers, certainly not someone who would be leading a gang. Yes I know who the leaders are and it's time you knew who they were too. I mean after all, what kind of a friend hides secrets away from the girl he loves? Masaomi Kida, leader of the Yellow Scarves and Mikado Ryūgamine, the leader of the Dollars. Masaomi has the power to stop these fights but he does nothing to break up the bloodshed. Why is that you would ask? It's because he doesn't want you," he taps your nose lightly, "to find out about his dark secret."

Your eyes widen and your heart stops in your chest for a moment before it pounds relentlessly. You grasp the front of your shirt and take short, erratic breaths, taking in the information you've just discovered. Your head starts throbbing and you feel your mouth taste like pennies. Cupping a hand over your mouth, you force yourself to breath naturally. Izaya wraps his arms around you protectively and you clutch onto him as if your life depends on it.

"Ma-Masaomi is the leader of the Yellow Scarves? Ho-how can that be? He's always told me how horrible that gang was; how could he lead them? It doesn't make sense? And Mikado is the leader of the Dollars?" You remember your conversation with the shy boy not too long ago and you furrow your eyebrows faintly. "He wanted to know who the Yellow Scarves leader was; he doesn't know that his gang is fighting against his friend's gang," you whisper to yourself. You feel hot tears run down your cheeks and you hug Izaya tightly.

"He can't get hurt, I won't allow it. How do I stop Masaomi? I can't let him continue to fight. Why are they fighting in the first place?" You choke back sobs as Izaya strokes your hair gently.

"It's alright [name]. Remember you have me, the information broker. You have all the information in the world right at your fingertips. You're on top in this city; you can change the outcome of these fights. And I'll be right beside you," he whispers in your ear soothingly. You cry more and bury your face into his shoulder. He continues stroking your hair wearing a neutral expression and staring at the wall in front of him.

~Masaomi's POV

"You idiot! How could you be so stupid?!" My voice echoes through the dimly lit warehouse as I pace back and forth angrily. "It was a simple task; how could you mess it up Hisoko?!"

Hisoko zips his black jacket up higher and trembles. "I'm sorry chief. I don't know what came over me. Please forgive me." I grit my teeth in anger and grab a metal pipe from the nearest member. I throw the pipe at Hisoko's head, deliberately missing him by a centimeter. Hisoko shrieks and falls down, breathing heavily from his shock.

"You wanted to rape my best friend?! The girl I love?! I asked you to bring her to me so I could talk with her; not have you do what you want with her!" I pull my yellow bandanna out of my back pocket and tie it around my neck tightly. I took it off whenever I visited the café so [name] wouldn't see it if I ran into her. I sit down on the dingy couch behind me, running a hand through my hair in frustration.

"On top of your screw-up, we have the Dollars to deal with. You had to pick a fight with some kids didn't you? Simon had to break up that fight and then you make all the Dollars want the Yellow Scarves' heads! Because you messed with the Dollars, they want to mess with you; that's how this works! It started out with a few simple fights but now it's a full blown war! I'm sick of cleaning up after your shit. I want you out of here Hisoko. Get out of here and don't come back!" I point at the garage door and glare at the man harshly.

"B-but chief! I'll change! Give me another chance! I don't have anything beside the Yellow Scarves! Hisoko falls onto his knees, bowing his head to the floor. I stare at him with a bored expression before examining my fingernails.

"Get out now or I'll make you get out; your choice." He gasps loudly at me and scrambles to my side, tightly gripping my arm.

"Please chief! Don't make me leave!" I snap my fingers and four men drag Hisoko off my arm and lead him outside of the warehouse. I hear Hisoko yell one last time before everything is silent for a moment. The four men come back and sit down on the floor.

"We roughed him up a little but he's not coming back chief." A man with a yellow hat bows his head with the other three men following his action. I pinch the bridge of my nose and sigh softly.

"Call me Masaomi; how many times have I told you guys that?" I grab my phone from my pocket and scroll through the pictures until I reach one of [name] and me smiling in Ikebukuro Park. I smile sadly at her happy face and rub my eyes tiredly.

"I think I pushed you closer to Izaya with my coward ness. I should have come to you myself; I'm sorry. You got hurt because of me and I can't forgive myself," I mumble as I pocket the phone and scan the faces of the Yellow Scarves.

"So chief uh Masaomi, what do we do now?" I stare at the ceiling and watch the ceiling fan slowly rotate, doing little to cool down the stuffy warehouse.

"I don't know anymore. I just don't know."

(Next Morning)

~Reader POV

You blink open your eyes and stare into Izaya's sleeping face in front of you. His raven hair is tousled and his mouth is partly opened, a few gentle sighs coming from his lips. You feel his arms tightly around you, pressing your face closer to his chest. You don't remember falling asleep last night or how you got up into Izaya's room. He's in his clothes from yesterday which means he fell asleep in his clothes again. You smile and kiss him lightly on the lips, making his eyes flutter open.

"Sleep okay?" You nod as he places a kiss on your forehead and runs his fingers through your hair. "You fell asleep on the couch last night so I brought you upstairs. That couch will give you back problems; trust me I've fallen asleep on that couch one too many times." You giggle quietly before feeling tears pool in your eyes again. You squeeze your eyes tightly to stop the flow of tears, gripping Izaya's shirt securely.

"Last night you told me you would help me stop Masaomi from fighting. You meant that right?" Izaya smirks and kisses your lips deeply.

"Of course; I promise. Let's go get some breakfast. Namie has the next couple of days off so I'll have to cook for us." Izaya picks you up and walks downstairs, setting you down at the dinner table and heading to the fridge.

"I didn't know you could cook." Izaya pulls out eggs, cheese, peppers, ham, and spinach and puts the ingredients on the countertop, digging through the bottom cabinet for a large frying pan.

"There are many things you don't know about me and there are many things I don't know about you. I'm willing to stick around until I do find out everything, will you?" Izaya turns the stove on and cracks a few eggs into the pan. You blush brightly and nod, a wide smile gracing your face. Izaya grins at you and begins making omelets, pouring juice for you before presenting you the finished omelet.

"It's really good Izaya! Wow I remember when Shizuo tried to cook an omelet he made a huge mess of the kitchen. Then he got so angry he punched a hole through the stove. That was an interesting day." Izaya finishes his food and clears your plate away, turning the water on to do dishes.

"Ah Shizu-chan can't control his temper. That poor stove did nothing to hurt him." You laugh and wait until he's done cleaning up, the two of you making your way back up to his room. Your phone rings and you see the caller is Shizuo.

"Hey [name] I'm finally back in town. Do you need me to pick you up from your friend's house?" You feel a twinge of sadness and glance at Izaya whose busy changing his shirt.

"N-no it's okay. I just need to pack up my things and I'll see you at home. Love you." You hang up and sigh, feeling Izaya wrap his arms around your waist from behind.

"Why so sad? Aren't you happy Shizu-chan is back home?" You touch his cheek lightly and place a hand on his arm.

"I am happy; I really missed him. But I just don't want to leave you so soon." Izaya chuckles and kisses your head, resting his chin on your head.

"It's not like I'll stop seeing you just because Shizu-chan is back and hates me. You're worth his temper. I'll walk you home even so I can kiss you goodbye." You smile and grab the box with all your clothes in it, already sealed up with packing tape. Slipping your phone in your pocket, you give the box to Izaya and go downstairs. You sling your messenger bag over your head and see Izaya put his coat on. He carries the box of clothing outside as you take one last look in the apartment and shut the door gently.

~Mairu's POV

I bounce in my seat happily, staring out the window as the plane heads towards [country]. I glance over at Kururi who has her headphones in and bobbing her head slightly to the beat of the music. I grin and yank the headphones out of her ear, making her jump and rub her ears tenderly. She looks at me while I twirl the cord around my finger.

"Aren't you excited to see Yuhei?! I knew Izaya would cave if we showed him that sex tape!" Kururi blushes as a few passengers stare at us and places a hand over my mouth.

"Voice down please," she whispers before pulling her hand away, wiping the saliva off her hand from where I licked her. I grin at the other passengers before they turn away and resume their activities.

"Did you do what I asked before we left Kururi?" She nods and pulls out a manga from her backpack, flipping through the pages. I squeal loudly and adjust my glasses before giving her a peck on the cheek.

"I wish we could see the outcome but then we wouldn't be able to see Yuhei. Make sure when we land that you find out if any killings have happened in Ikebukuro." Kururi nods again and kisses my cheek before placing the manga over her face to take a nap.

~Hisoko's POV

I grumble as I head into the bad parts of Ikebukuro, not knowing where to go after being kicked out. I stuff my hands in my black jacket pockets and kick a rock in my path. The morning rays of the sun blind me and I slip my sunglasses on to shield my eyes.

"That damn brat! Who does he think he is bossing me around? He's just a stupid high school kid! I should be leading the Yellow Scarves; I could make us the best gang in Ikebukuro! But no, that maggot insists on doing things his way and I'm sick of being pushed around!" I lean against a brick wall and check my phone for new messages. I hear some footsteps from a nearby alley and I drop my phone in fear, holding my hands above my head.

"If you want money, you're outta luck. I got nothing on me." The person chuckles and stops a few feet away from me, the shadow of the alleyway covering his face from me.

"Don't worry I'm not here for your money or anything. I just heard you complaining and I wanted to ask you a few questions." I lower my arms and sneer at the man's voice, pushing my black sunglasses up higher on my face.

"And why should I tell you anything?" The man steps out of the shadow and smirks at me. He's a middle aged man with neatly cut black hair and wearing an expensive looking white suit. He has a deep scar running down the right side of his face and his dark brown eyes peek above his sunglasses, scanning me from head to toe. He pulls a cigarette out from his pocket and lights it up, blowing the smoke in my direction. I cough and fan the smoke away, glaring at him angrily.

"My name's Kozakura and you are?" I scratch my head trying to think of why that name seems so familiar.

"I'm Hisoko former member of the Yellow Scarves," I grumble and grab my phone from the floor, stuffing it back in my pocket.

"Nice to meet you. So I heard you complaining about your former leader.  The Yellow Scarves are a pretty big gang and I've been trying to find out who the leader is. I can offer you an enormous sum of money for the name. I would ask that informant from Shinjuku but he refuses all my offers. Tell me do the Yellow Scarves have an adequate hideout? Somewhere far from the police?"

"How much money?" Kozakura clicks his tongue and a large man in a black suit comes up from behind him holding a briefcase. He snaps the case open, revealing rows and rows of money. I feel my mouth drop open and I take off my sunglasses to get a better look at his offer. Kozakura smirks and finishes his cigarette, dropping it on the ground and lighting another one.

"How did you get that much cash?!" I stare at the man for a few seconds before dread washes over me. I immediately back away from him and press myself into the brick wall. "I know that name! You're Kozakura the leader of the yakuza!" He laughs at my frightened expression and waves the man with the briefcase away.

"No need to be scared of me; you haven't done anything to cross me. In addition to this money, I'll help you get revenge on your former leader and have you be the new leader of the Yellow Scarves. All I ask from you is the name of the leader and the warehouse where the Yellow Scarves reside in. And I want you to pledge your loyalty to me. Do we have a deal?" He extends his hand and waits for my answer.

I rub my head in thought, wondering if there's any catch to his offer. If I gave him Masaomi's name and the warehouse, he would give me money and I could have revenge on the brat for throwing me out of the gang. I would also be the new leader and I would have the leader of the yakuza as an alley. I feel a grin creep on my face as I step closer to him and shake his hand firmly.

"Oh ya. You've got yourself a fucking deal Mr. Kozakura."
